robo luchador

my son (who just turned 10) had some leftover tee-shirts from his birthday party favors. they are his own design that i screen printed. we decided to sell the leftovers at my etsy shop with proceeds going to his college fund...because HE IS GOING TO COLLEGE. (oops, does that sound a little forceful?)

workers of the world unite!

this weekend my neighbor and i set up our own little screen printing factory in the garage and kitchen. this was the first time our factory was up and running and i have to ad that we even provide onsight daycare for our workers (thank you husband and Bambi movie). we were very happy with the end product...a bunch of gumball shirts for my co factory founder's son's b-day party favors...what a mouthful! i will post a picture of all the kiddos in their new gumball shirts after the party...

Screen Print Class

what a great day! my neighbor, Heidi, and I attended  a DIY screenprinting class in Heidi's old SF neighborhood. Our teacher was a really nice, smart down to earth fellow with the fun name, Andy Kane.
We left the class with screens, a base and these lovely bags we helped to make! There is a lot to screenprinting but I really feel like this is a do-able project, especially after we practice...the ideas are already brewing...
please check into this class at sparkascreen.com, Andy (also a farmer and a HS teacher!) offers it up and down the west coast. thank you god of good days...today was very nice.
